Storage & Stability Lyophilized recombinant Human Apolipoprotein M, His (HEK293-expressed) (rHuApolipoprotein M, His) is stored at -20°C. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer. It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage. Shipping Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere. Background Apolipoprotein E (apoE) is a 34-kDa glycoprotein that is a surface component of various plasma lipoprotein particles including chlyomicron remnants, β-migrating VLDL (β-VLDL), LDL, and a subclass of HDL. ApoE mediates high-affinity binding of apoE-containing lipoproteins to cell surface endocytic receptors during the transport and metabolism of plasma cholesterol (Chol) and triglycerides (TG). HEK-apoE is a ligand for low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-related protein (LRP) but not the LDL receptor[1]. |
